AT LUMINARTE, EVERYONE ADORES COLOR!

The business began the “old fashioned” way, with a brilliant idea sprouting from an individual who was willing to burn the midnight oil seven days a week if needed. It all came about because of the love of color, along with an unquenchable curiosity of chemistry!

STROKE OF GENIUS
LuminArte’s President, Leslie Ohnstad, started out making new and unusual paints in her kitchen sink some seven years ago. She took a handful of loyal individuals along with her on this new and exciting journey to develop more paints. The company currently has 25 employees and many unique paint lines, including their original Radiant Pearls™, Twinkling H2O’s™, and Primary Elements™.

BRUSHING UP
Back in Leonardo da Vinci’s day, artists ground their own pigments to make their oil paints. Similarly, the Primary Elements line is made of pure color (no fillers). They are concentrated, which means a little goes a long way. Customers love these paints. In fact, many say the Primary Elements should be considered food groups because they are so luscious!

Twinkling H2O’s™ are also very popular. These individual solid cakes of paint cut down on waste and are easy to use. This paint is versatile enough to be used with anything from calligraphy pens to rubber stamps. The self-blending semitransparent colors combine into unlimited
shades and tints. All of LuminArte’s paints can be used on almost any surface, including:
cardstock, canvas, rocks, wood and even Easter eggs!

PAINT PASSION
If there is one thing that can be said about the LuminArte staff, it is that they are completely in love with their paints. Ohnstad states, “The high quality and intense color excites our senses all through the workday! The daily business of tracking orders, helping customers with their needs, and attaining deadlines can become tiring, but all we have to do is pass by a newly poured batch of paint to get refreshed from the sheer beauty of what we make every day!”

To show to what extent these individuals enjoy working with paint, their idea of a good time for holiday parties, birthday celebrations and other big events is to break out the paints, invite families and friends, and play for hours! Ohnstad feels that the staff’s pure love of what they do helps them create a product that will thrill customers too.

CLUB LUMINARTE
Club LuminArte™ is a network of stampers, scrapbook enthusiasts, crafters, and fine arts aficionados interested in building a creative community. It offers members tips and techniques as well as a forum to explore their favorite form of expression. Club LuminArte™ exists to help fulfill customer needs, which are the driving force of product development. Ohnstad explains, “We’ve created a club where customers can inspire each other. Our goal is to bring both wholesale and retail customers together to discover the possibilities of the art and hobby worlds.” LuminArte is grateful for their customers and actively works to produce topnotch products they will love. Ohnstad continues, “We adore paints, and we enjoy sharing them with all of you!
